The name of the book I chose for my ISU is Londonstani by Gautam Malkani. Londonstani is a book about racial tensions in London, England. The book revolves around a gang of "rudeboys" of South Asian decent and the different struggles they encounter in life as a South Asian teenager. It's a book that highlights the tension between South Asians and the "goras" (white people) and South Asians among themselves. I chose to read this book because I'm a South Asian myself so the themes within the book relate to my life.
